Oi Kids Club
Kriolu Foundations of Cabo Verde
Oi Kids is a live online Kriolu of Cabo Verde class for children ages 6 to 11.
This colorful beginner club helps young learners build speaking, listening,
pronunciation, everyday vocabulary, simple conversation, and cultural
connection through engaging weekly lessons.

speaking, simple sentence building, and cultural connection.

Young learners begin with greetings and everyday words, then gradually
learn how to respond, ask simple questions, introduce themselves,
talk about familiar things, and become more comfortable hearing
Kriolu spoken naturally.
What We’ll Build
Together
Each part of the curriculum gives children another piece
of the language while helping them become comfortable
listening and speaking.
Greetings & Introductions
Children begin with hello, greetings, introductions,
names, and useful expressions they can begin using
from their first lessons.
Numbers, Colors & Everyday Basics
Learners build foundational vocabulary through numbers,
colors, familiar objects, and simple words connected
to everyday life.
Family & People
Children learn words and short phrases for family members,
people, relationships, and talking about those around them.
Everyday Phrases
Students practice simple questions, responses, polite expressions,
and short phrases that help Kriolu begin to feel usable.
Listening & Speaking
Children hear Kriolu spoken aloud, repeat pronunciation,
respond to their teacher, and practice speaking in a
comfortable environment.
Cabo Verdean Culture
Language comes alive through age appropriate connections
to Cabo Verde, its islands, people, traditions,
community, and everyday life.

We want young learners to understand more than what a word means.
We want them to understand where the language lives.
Miss a class? Catch up.
Families receive access to the class recording for
up to 7 days after each live session.
Children can catch up after an absence or revisit a lesson
for additional listening and pronunciation practice.
